How can I get my old software on to new computer?

On my old Windows 7 32-bit computer I have a programme called Draw 4.5 which was published years ago by a company called Greenstreet. I bought Draw 4 then some time later I bought the upgrade to Draw 4.5 as a download.

I now want to install Draw 4.5 on my new Windows 8 64-bit computer but the company has disappeared, so I can't download the upgrade. Even if I could, the software on my old computer doesn't show me what my key is. I can (and have) installed the older version, Draw 4, but none of the files I created in version 4.5 will open - I just get a message saying "This file was created in a later version".

Is there any way I can get hold of this software? Or is it possible for me to transfer it from the old to the new computer (without terrifying registry modifications)? I know that it's not just a matter of copying the program files across.

I assure you that my ownership of the licence is completely legitimate. So any help would be much appreciated.

for installed keys in general, Belarc advisor is the top one to try, it is free - http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html but I think you may be stuck in being able to upgrade to 4.5. One of the senior developers can be found on linkedin and wordpress, but I dont know how far he would be able to help, if he is still actively using these sites http://uk.linkedin.com/in/steveriggall/ http://sjrdevstuff.wordpress.com/

Thanks very much theDarkness. I'll try to contact the developer guy.

Can't think why I haven't yet downloaded Belarc Advisor - I always used to have it!
