Hi

Can anyone recommend a good online backup utility?

How safe (private) are the online backups?

Thanks

Online storage is ideal if you want to have data available from multiple devices or to share it with others. If you just want to backup your files, see the Forum Editor's comments in this thread where he suggests that removable media is a better option.

If you do want to use online storage, I use dropbox and box which are good. I also tried sugarsync but found it unnecessarily complicated.

Hi Collinsc,

I'm adrian from Online Storage, if you would like to try Livedrive backup for 3 months drop an email to [email protected] and I would be more than happy to setup a free trial for you. If privacy is a major concern for you could also try http://owncloud.org/ on your own server/hosting.

Google Drive is very good for too. They offer a free 5Gb account.

Best wishes, Adrian.
