Apple iTunes New Software

I recently upgrade to ITunes new software. With the software open, I imported Disk1 of 4 of a music CD compilation. When compete, instead of showing the one icon in “Albums” with a list of the tracks on that disk, an icon was shown for each individual Track. What am I doing wrong and can I remedy this with this new software? A search in the Apple Store was of no help. Hope someone can help or point me in the right direction. I run Vista Home premium and Thank you Keith.
