Collecting Software serial numbers?

Many moons ago, possibly even pre vista, there was a handy little programme that scoured my hard drive and noted all the drivers and software serial numbers so that should all disappear I had a hard copy as back up. I am not needing a back up programme, just some way to collect my serial numbers for windows, office, photoshop etc. Any suggestions?

Not sure if the analysis can be saved as no time yet to read about it. In the meantime copied it all into word.
