Email message too big Alert

Hi, I am using Thunderbird for my email. When I try sending something I get a message saying "exceeds a temporary size limit of the server" I am trying to send a message of two sentences not all three volumes of Fifty Shades Of Grey or a transcript of War & Peace just a simple Email Can anyone tell me what is wrong please.
