HP Pavilion DV6700 freezes when running proram

WINDOWS Vista will load ok but when a program is opened it just hangs. Pointer will move cross the screen ok, keyboard does not respond.

Try running chkdsk if you can.Try safe mode if normal mode will not work.

Ignore that if it normally runs Ok or is it slow running most things.

Does it work Ok in safe mode with networking.
