HP DV6700 freezes when running program

Windows Vista loads ok but when you run a program it just hangs, Pointer will move across screen, no response from keypad.

tick your other thread on the same subject as closed to prevent confusion.

Search - type

sfc /scannow

let vista scan and replace missing corrupt files.
