Hi my laptop screen fades, goes black then after a few minutes comes back on and is ok for a while. Any idea why?

Fading to black is an invertor problem but not heard of one that comes back on.

Check device manager to see if any yellow exclamation marks.

Brought up device manager list but can't see any exclamations marks. I notice that when it starts to fade, it fades from the left hand side. Could a bulbs or something be going and as I am not remotely technical, what would I do if it was?

If your not technical then you will need to take it in for repair - stripping a laptop even to do a lamp or invertor change is not for a novice.

There are many videos / tutorials on the net for this job.

Make and model?

Thanks but I don't even know if it is the inverter. I am getting an expert to do it. Thanks for your advice.
