I have read various sites regarding this.
Android appears to be a fairly secure platform, but is it necessary to have protection?
The N7 is synchronised to my desktop apparently as it loaded all my pictures and gmail accounts without asking.
So if it caught anything would it find its way to the PC by wifi or only via usb?
Any program would affect battery life I know.
Any comments please.
Thanks.

I use AVG Antivirus free edition for Android from Google Play Store. I don't notice any perceptible reduction in battery life and it's better safe than sorry.

Does it need anti-virus - yes. Android is regularly targetted.

Installed the AVG and did a full scan.
What a pleasure to do a full scan in 10 to 15 seconds (:-))
