Are there any Nexus 7 users that can play BBC iPlayer. Due to Adobe Flash Player being withdrawn the BBC have brought out its own Media Player. I bought my N7 a few days ago anticipating to be able to watch it, but the media player is incompatible with Jellybean 4.2. I should have read the BBC blog:
Here first I suppose.
Just interested to know if anyone else is disappointed.
FE. If this is the wrong forum you have my permission to move it!!

PS.
There is a work around here but seems a bit fraught.

I have the altogether brilliant Nexus 7 - with Jellybean 4.2 - and one of the things it does best is to play BBC iPlayer with no problem whatsoever. I can't imagine what your problem can be.

FE....correct.
So

Did yours run right from the start? As you can see from the links above the problem is general.
Think I am on 4.1, having looked, and not 4.2 as I stated.
Will see if I can find an update.

I've just checked Google Play and I see what you all mean. FYI my media - films etc - are run using MX player, so perhaps this is the medium for my iPlayer. In any case I can assure everyone that the BBC iPlayer IS accessible. I've just watched the latest episode of "The Hour". I'm not going to ask too many questions lest it decides to pack up! I can also get YouTube, but I guess everyone is OK with that one. Best of luck everyone.
