Windows 8 - can't find Applications in Windows Explorer

I'm just getting to know Windows 8 on my new computer. I've installed a fairly old software package (it reported successful installation) that doesn't automatically put a shortcut on the desktop, so I've been trying to find the package on my computer, in order to do so.
But there's no "All Programs" list on the metro screen and I can't find a folder of Applications in Windows Explorer. How do I get to see a list of my installed applications?
All advice gratefully received.

In the start screen right click a blank space and select and select 'all apps'.

Pineman100, I think it's a great OS. Once you get into the habit of the corners and right clicking when nothing is obvious :) I've even managed to get the apps to install on another drive rather than filling up my small SSD.

I'll keep plugging away at it, rdave13!
Thanks again.
