Cisco Router and BT Infinity 2 IP Address Issue

I am signed up to BT Infinity 2. Within this set up BT first connect a vdsl modem to the wall and then a wireless router connects to the modem. I am trying to connect and access my CCTV cameras using a DNS service. Following the write up in PC Advisor I bought a Cisco EA4500 and replaced the BT home hub. Problem is that the IP address of the modem is different to the router. I understand that I need to access the modem and bridge to ensure hat the Cisco router uses the same IP address as the modem. BT help desk haven't a clue so please help.
