Hp5900 printer transfer to another Win xp PC

I am trying to install an HP 5900c printer on another xp PC. Until yesterday the printer worked fine on my XP home PC. I want to install the printer on another Winxp Prof PC. It worked OK at first. But today it says the RPC is not available and refuses to work. I have tried to reinstall but the installation freezes at 6/7. That's when a window say the print spooler is not available.
I have been through the help feature advising to find a windows driver. This goes as far as saying the printer had a problem installing but might not work properly.
Advice please
Larry.

Use Revo download and install the Free version (scroll down to it) then use Revo to fully uninstall the printer, once completed re-start PC and try installing printer again.

Go to Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services
Select "Print Spooler"
If it is listed as "paused", start it by double-clicking on "Print Spooler" and then click the "Start" button
Verify that the "startup type" is set to "automatic"
Click on Run in the Start menu and type:
Services.msc
In the list, find "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)"
Clicking the right mouse button and choose "Properties"
Go to the tab "Recovery", and then sequentially in First Failure, Second Failure, etc. and select "Restart Service"
Click OK

Fruit Bat, you kindly told me how to start the print spooler. It worked fine, of course. On restarting my PC the print spooler had been stopped. OK, thanks to you, I know how to restart the print spooler but don't know how to keep it atarted after shut down. I could not find anywhere to 'save' the started condition.
Of course I can easily restart the printspooleer each time, buit it's irritating...
