How do I get rid of lines of red dots across my monitor?

Hi
I recently purchased a computer in Sep 2012 from Dino PC. It has been running very well apart from an irritating red dot problem.
My pc has an Intel i5 3570k processor (not over clocked) which has no additional graphics card and runs using the on board graphics HD 4000. I dont play computer games.
I have connected my monitor (a Hanns G HG 216D) to another computer to check that my monitor or cables were not at fault and the lines of red dots do not appear.
I have also connected my monitor to my pc with an HDMI cable and they still appear. These red dots didn't appear immediately when I first had the pc. I believe that they began to appear once I started updating my pc with the latest windows 7 updates (x64 bit).
The red dots appear each time I switch on the pc at the very bottom edge of the screen then when the Asus screen appears (motherboard is Asus p8z77-V LX) across the middle of the screen, then again when the windows 7 start up screen appears.
They then appear again if I have an image in the centre of the screen which is a dark block. In this case they are grouped together in a horizontal block to the centre right of the dark area.
The line of dots only appears horizontally and in red on dark screens.
Occasionally I have seen the same lines of dots on a light coloured block in the centre right of the screen when the dots are pale blue and in the same formation.
If I move the mouse over the red dots when they appear in a centre block of a dark colour the red dots momentarily disappear.
Any advice on how to remove these dots would be gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks
Richard

I think On-board Graphics is at fault and the PC should go back

I now agree with woodchip , as it's an i5, the graphics are within the CPU.
Send an email to Dino PC and state the problem and how you have tried different ways to prove it is not the monitor's fault or cable failure. Link to this page if you have to. I'm sure they will repair/replace under the warranty with no quibble whatsoever.

It's all under warranty take it back and let them look at it that's what the warranty is all about. Save any data you have first though in case the loose it.simples

See if you can take a photo of the screen when red dots are there. Both with a camera and a pc Screenshot so you can prove the fault.

If you have a Free Graphics Slot, and did not want the problem of sending it back, You could fit a Graphics card if its a Desktop

Hi
Thanks to rdave13, spiderlegz, woodchip, mole 1944 and to lotvic for your advice and support.
I would certainly like to avoid sending my pc back to Dino, as who can say how long I would be without it.
Do you all agree that if I buy a graphics card and install this I could then disable the Intel graphics and remove the problem? What about the voiding of the warranty if I do this?
My pc chassis is a Gigabyte 233 case and there are several unused slots at the back. If so what sort of graphics card would you recommend? I am not into gaming and use my pc mainly for multiple family history applications and general internet stuff.
This morning I have also run an Intel test report and left a similar message on the Intel Communities Technical support page.
Again thanks to you all for your help.
Regards
Richard

As the Graphics is in the CPU it may spell trouble later on, I would be inclined to phone them on what to do
