AVG Secure Search

On Internet Explorer 9 I have just had an "intrusion" as my home page and I cannot change back to my chosen one. It appears to be from AVG and is called Secure Search an seems to be related to Google. There are several directories that have been created and many files. I use Norton Internet Security (up to date!) and Norton cannot get rid of the problem. I have no need of this how do I get rid of it?

Info here. Also check in programs and features if you have AVG toolbar.
