Whether to upgrade iPad 3 to iOS6?

I have an iPad3 which is asking to be upgraded to iOS6. Some web sites contain complaints from people who have upgraded but run into problems such as losing wi-fi connections. Is there really a problem with upgrading or is that largely down to people doing it wrongly and then blaming Apple?

When you up grade certain settings may change from what you are used to. Its this sort of thing people complain about as they do not realise and do not know how to change the settings to work as they were used to.

I upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS6 without any problems apart from getting the awful Apple Maps.

Some people did experience problems with iPhones however iOS 6.0.1 is now out. iOS 6.0.1

The big question on upgrading is: Do you use Google Maps on that device?

If you do, then I would recommend you stick with iOS 5 until there's a Google Maps app.

If you don't then I'd say upgrade.
