Why is the PC Advisor web site so slow on my Windows XP computer? Can I make it run faster?

There seems to be a problem with IE - have you tried accessing it with Chrome?

Thanks. I will give it a try.

You could also try turning off Java Script in the Browser Settings. This may stop you gaining access to other sites until you re-enable it

Shockwave add-on seems to be causing problems in IE9. To disable it go into settings in IE then "manage add ons" and disable it then see if that improves matters but be aware that some sites may not work without it, in particular IPlayer seems to require it.

Thanks have tried all the suggestions. They all seem to work but after Initial improvement it slows again. It appears as thought there is something happening in the background of this particular site.

Have noticed that the slow down occurs while it is supposedly down loading pictures according to the information bar. May be adverts???
