I have several versions of the above installed on XP Home SP3.
Can I safely un-install?
I don't seem to have any programs dependent on it.
Tried a search on PCA, but threads are locked.

XP doesn't need it.
But something you may have loaded on your computer does.
If you uninstall it, when you try to run the program that needs it, you'll get an error message referring back to it.

Will leave alone then.
I noticed them when I had to un-install MS Silverlight in order to get the latest version of Silverlight to view
Worldwide Telescope.
There were 2.500 entries I deleted with Revo !! No doubt all back again now.
Not impressed with WWT so got rid of it.

I still have no idea as to what Silverlight is supposed to do.I usually delete it as I can see no use for it.

Well, that was the first time I have ever been referred to Silverlight to view anything.
