Home plugs for Freesat

Hi I want to receive ITV Player on Freesat.I have a wireless router upstairs,TV downstairs,and would like to know if home plugs would work.Any advice would be appreciated.Thanks.

I use a TP-Link TL-PA211KIT for this very purpose with my Humax Freesat box. They work well, even in the High Quality setting on BBC iPlayer.

The only "problem" that I encounter is that the home plug goes to sleep when not in use and needs a couple of attempts at using the iPlayer or ITV Player service to wake them up.
