Printer not printing text but works with graphics

My PC and/or printer has stopped printing out text from either a spreadsheet or word document. It will print graphics ok but not text. What's happening?

Text = Black Graphs =colour? Empty black cartridge?

First as above make sure that all the carts have some ink in them, Try a test Page from Printer Folder

Change the font colour to Blue and try printing - success? = empty black ink cartridge.
