recovering folders deleted from the recycling bin

Yes, I've done it, deleted folders from my PC because I thought I had copied them to a stand-alone hard drive but found the hard drive only had a link, found this when I had deleted My Documents AND emptied the Recycle bin!!

This is a good program but you can only recover 1 GB using the free version. You will need to read up on the help files and a lot of info on this page. EaseUs Recovery.

Quite a few recommend Recuva (Free) http://www.piriform.com/recuva I have a copy of it just in case I ever need it.
