I have an account with TalkTalk but occasionally need to use Outlook to email. On those occasions on opening Outlook 2007, it automatically downloads any Emails I have received that are in my TalkTalk in Box. Is it possible to control this so it only downloads when I ask. I run vista Home Premium and have the current Internet Explorer. Thank you

MS Outlook by default is set to launch every time your computer is turned on but can be disabled from automatically starting up - enter link description here

northumbria61 - Strange as I've never had Outlook 2003 or 2007 automatically launch when my pc is turned on and I have not had to change msconfig.
Wort wants to control so that it receives only when he asks. This can be done by Tools - Send/Receive - Send/receive settings and selecting disable schedules send/receive.
