Cannot access Internet via router - computer keeps trying dial up!

Hi folks - having just had to disconnect my computer from the router as it had broken (that is now resolved), I have reconnected the computer to the router but the computer keeps trying to ask me to select dial up connection - and whenever I try and just click on a browser, it keeps saying "server not found".
How do I get the computer to access the Internet via the router again?

Well, I ended up having to "force" the computer to restart itself as it had frozen - but its a happy ending.
I've been using you guys for years and always recommend you to friends who have computer problems - but most would rather get rid of their computers rather than try to fix them - I love fixing the problems as I feel really proud when I get the computer to work again. Probably not many girls feel the same way.

PC_HelpMe , not sure about Probably not many girls feel the same way, as there are many posters here who are 'girls' and most competent in resolving PC issues. Trouble is, once you start trying to resolve PC issues with Windows it get to be a bit addictive when you get success in resolving some. The annoying bit is when you're stumped for an answer.
