WINXP crashes with Google earth

My pentium 4 3GHZ with 2MB Ram has recently started freezing then losing the display particularly with Google Earth but at other times also. There is no pattern although it seems to be when viewing video or streaming.

Graphics card is NVIDIA FX 3700LE 256MB which I have replaced and I have reinstalled Windows XP Pro SP3 all to no avail. The Nvidia driver is ver 8.4.2.1 dated 9.3.06and i have tried to update it from the NVIDIA website but the display wouldn't operate at all.

Can anyone suggest what to do next?
