bootmrg is missing press ctrl+alt+del to restart

my girlfriend was doing a factory restart and at 55% she cancelled it and now all she gets on screen of her laptop is bootmrg is missing press ctrl+alt+del to restart.She does this but everytime (it tries to boot as it goes to the toshiba screen) but goes straight back to black screen with the same message.tried to load the recovery disc but it didnt come up with the message pres any key to start cd or anything.its 7 OS.Any help would be appreciated although it sounds like a new hard disk may be required

You may need to press one of the F keys or Del to change the boot setting. Do you get any options for those when the first splash screen appears?
