What is it with the PCA site?

The site seems to load in a very strange way and it always now spits and starts and jumps all over the place.
I have a iMAC with Mountain Lion and Safari 6.0.1. No matter what I do, it never seems smooth in its operation.
It works, but I get giddly trying to see where the pages are going to with their jumping up and down. Is it because of the various adverts or is there something more fundamental to the/my problem?
Cheers

As far as I can make out from info I found it's not the browser on pc it's the server that sends that sharethis part of the page that is S..L..O..W.. and rest of page can't load until it's done.
Fingers crossed, I seem to be zipping along now I have blocked: *.sharethis.com/ (I added another star at the end after the / but can't type it on pca as it will change the text to italics and not show the 2 stars.

I think the bottom line is that if I had only just come across the PCA site I would not be returning any time soon.
That cannot be a good thing for any site dependent on advertising.
