Value of grey ink cartridge

I am quite a fan of canon printers and am about to replace my elderly and deceased ip5000. I am considering the MG5350 and the MG6250. The main difference seems to be that the MG6250 has a grey cartridge as well as the usual five. Bearing in mind that, on Amazon at least, the MG6250 is almost £40 more expensive, I would like to know whether in practice I am likely to notice the difference in a colour photo print (I hardly print any monochrome photos).
