How can I stop being routed back to the UK?

I have used www.fishpond.co.nz before, but now when I try to use it, I get sent to fishpond.co.uk.

My brother is in New Zealand, and I want to send him a present, NOT from the uk branch.

any ideas most welcome

There is a feature in 'search options' to search New Zealand items only if that helps.

It's happening because the server knows where you are located. It gets this information from your IP address. You can hide your address by using a proxy server, but there's a downside to that - the proxy server can see any data that you send to a website.
