win7 out XP in

A laptop is destined to be dedicated to an astro telescope. Trouble is it is Win 7 and the scope progs only work with XP.

The task the is to remove 7 and load XP So far all that happens when the XP disc is started the 'This progrm is newer'message appears and the process then stops.

The next move please Format the disc but how?

Ah two very good suggestions, Looks like Ishall have to and take a look see for my self.

The longer my machine is a Linux distro ,the more I forget/lose touch with Windoze

Not an entitely bad thing'notthat is until one of the flock calls.
