Hi. I have a Samsung NP355v5c-S01UK laptop and i need to know if I can upgrade my processor and graphics card in it. Can someone please help me because I've tried searching the web and can't find anything of any help also it would be nice if you could give me recommendations on what processors and graphics cards i could upgrade to if possible
for my specs go to these links (didn't know how to upload images) -_- https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/52338634357664666261183731750_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/255403343576662663094230806_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/3925633435766746633157627314_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/30368734357668666361988848914_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/2484103435766946638864150623_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/48760434357669866391788805053_n.jpg

I very much doubt if you can upgrade the processor and/or graphics card as very few laptops allow you to do so. Just physically getting to these parts can be difficult.

There is certainly nothing in the user guide to suggest that these components can be upgraded.

Because your mate bought the same laptop with different specs unfortunately does not help you. Manufacturers change the specs sometimes but this is done at the factory.

This laptop is not a gaming laptop, you would need to spend a bit more than you did if you wanted a decent gaming PC.

So you will either need to upgrade the whole laptop this will give you some idea of the prices or get a desktop.

Oh and I did highlight the whole link and still do not get anything. But no matter as you posted the model of your laptop.

oh ok, i only bought it the other day as well and the man in the shop told me it was a gaming laptop :( do you think it would be worth upgrading the ram to 2x8gb or wouldn't that make much difference? i have 2x4gb ddr3 at the moment

Unfortunately it wont make any difference. The thing is you should have done a bit of research before you bought the laptop as it can be a bit late afterwards. Though if you bought from somewhere like John lewis they will usually take it back.

It is not a bad laptop and you should be able to play even Battlefield 3 but on medium detail settings.

What sort of games are you wanting to play?

I bought one from thee very recently and when I got it home and had a play with it I decided that it was not what I wanted and took it back no problems at all, had to wait a couple of days for my card to be reimbursed but apart from that a great service. mind you I only had it a couple of days.

You could,if you wanted, take it back and say that the advice you were given that it was a gaming PC was not correct and it cannot play games at a decent FPS.

Try this site Can I run it? It will give you a pretty good idea of the games your laptop can run, that does not mean at full settings of course, but it will give you a rough idea.
