Does anyone have a Samsung S2 1TB Portable 2.5 Inch USB 2 External Hard Drive? If so, does it come ready formatted (different sites say different things!)? Also, can you use back up software such as Avanquest on it? How have people found this product? Would you recommend it?

I don't have that particular drive but boot up the PC, log in. Once all your software have started then plug in your usb drive. Windows will then apply the drivers. You will need then to go to Disk Management to format the drive with MBR, unless you have an alternative disk management software to Windows.
