Last post here before this thread was 7 hours ago. Very odd.

lotvic - "and most of those posters don't give any help with pc problems" - interesting point. I tend to give up on the threads in Speakers Corner that have inane posts usually from the same person.

What's the betting, soon there will be a post telling us how well pca is doing and it's survived the ups and downs and will survive this one...
You can bet your house on it.

I have been a member here for some time, and I think there are now too many forums. It used to be a Helproom for everyone, but the ethos has changed over the years.

As a relative newcomer to this forum I have noticed that an increasing number of people post exactly the same threads on multiple sites. It may be that they find a resolution from one of these other postings and do not bother to get back to their other threads.

The very annoying Kieffer Sutherland/Acer advert doesn't help either.
Anyone know how to stop it playing every time a new page is loaded?
Peter.

Chronus & rdave13,
Thanks for the advice, but I'm using Chrome; anything to help on Chrome possibly?
I realise the these type of sites need the funding from adverts to survive, but at least on the PC Pro site the advert run, but without the sound.
Peter.
