PC Upgrade

I have a Desktop PC with the following components and would like very much to know what is the most I can upgrade this for home use. The Motherboard is:MSI915GLM-V (MS7131) Chipset Intel 915GL Express ICH6 North Bridge Intel 82915GL GMCH Socket LGA775 Socket Processor Types Celeron, Celeron D, Pentium 4 Number of CPUs 1 Front Side Bus 800/533MHz Memory Type DDR Memory Channels Dual Maximum Memory 2GB External Graphics AGP8X IGP Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 South Bridge Intel 82801FB ICH6 Audio 6-channel IDE 100/66/33 SCSI None SATA 1.5 GB/s RAID None LAN 10/100 Firewire None USB USB 2.0 Expansion Slots BIOS
Form Factor microATX

kat64, The specs you have posted show what that motherboard will take. What are the upgrades you are hoping to do? you haven't said what is currently on it (which CPU, how much ram is on etc.) I presume you have XP on there at present?

I do not think it is worth the money upgrading this as it is pretty old tech. Get yourself a motherboard/processor/memory bundle from the likes of Novatech.

Thank You Lotvic and Chronus, I think you are right I reckon I can build a pc for just a few pounds more than trying to upgrade this one. Many thanks for your input . Regards
