Problem with Auto Update Google Chrome

The auto update no longer works for me. I get the error message " An error occurred checking for updates. Update check failed to start ( error code 3ox80040154) Update server not available ( error 3 ) " I can manually download updates and apply them, but has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution ?

It sounds to me as if you're running Chrome in Vista or Windows7, and you have configured it to run as administrator.

If you reconfigure Chrome to run as a normal user you'll find Chrome connects to the update server without any problem. An alternative way is to reinstall Chrome via a different installer.Try this first
