Are Youtube videos freestanding; or linked back to individual PCs?

I've put a couple of short videos on Youtube and now want to move the originals to an external HD. Will this affect anyone who wants to see them on Youtube?

Once you have posted them on YouTube they are then on the website, which can be viewed by anyone using the Internet. The viewer is not seeing them on your computer, so you can do whatever you like with the original videos.
