Removing password to log on at start

I use Windows 7 and Mozilla Firefox. Having had a problem, I uninstalled W7 and when I re-installed it I set a password which I have to type in before I can proceed. How do I remove the need to do this so that the computer will start showing the normal desk top with the icons on the left. I can't do a system restore as the previous settings have been lost when I did the uninstall. Any advice much appreciated.

chub_tor, Thank you. I found that another way and have managed to remove the need for the password when starting as I am the only user. So this thread is now closed
