Hi everyone, I have taken some video clips on digital camera but cannot play them back. Click on properties shows them as AVI files or Windows Movies. Tried Nero, Media player, Real player. DIVX but they all say format not recognized.

Any help please.

Hello again and thanks for your suggestions. Not had much time to spend on this today but thinking back it may be that the files that wont play or play silly noises only were recorded whilst the camera was connected to the charger i.e. not just running on the battery. Tried this out tonight running fine on battery but as soon as I plugged in the usb cable it stopped working. I puzzles me as to why the files even show at all. Bought this on Ebay which I use frequently, rarely ask the seller any questions but on this occasion I specifically asked by Email if this would record with the charger connected and was told that it definitely would. I still dont really know the answer,if it will only work on the battery so be it. Cant really see why anyone would lie on something like this. Could be me making some simple mistake. Any further comments or suggestions are welcome but there becomes a point where things are not worth wasting any more time on, my time and more importantly yours which I do appreciate.
