My computer has being telling me since 28 07 2012 that it can't update MSE as there is a connection problem. I have run CCleaner and ried again but he same thing keeps happening. I have no other known problems with my computer, and the internet is working fine at about 6mb.Has anyone had the same problems latley? If so how did you get over them?

Not come across this. I'd run Malwarebytes (in case), then uninstall and reinstall MSE.

Thanks to onthelimit1 have not had malware bites before if fiund 116 items it was not happy with and sorted those. I then did as you said and removed MSE and re-installed it, all now seems fine. Thanks again Migwell.

FruitBat/\0/\ the above way sorted it so I never got as far as your way, but thanks also, Migwell

rdave - I routinely see PCs with Norton, Kaspersky or other paid ones. MBAM found over 6000 suspects on one of them!

MSE is fine as an antivirus but you need a backup for antimalware

malwarebytes is probably the best at the moment.
