Best anti-virus and firewall suite

Hi,

Not really a tech question but I can't see a general query area.

I have used AVG Internet Security for some years without a problem though of late it has slowed my PC right down when updating at switch-on which can be a pain.

I am thinking of switching to another product such as Bit Defender or Kaspersky. However, when I read reviews of such software I often see that folk have had problems when installing these things.

Anyone advise on the best course of action?

Thanks

Uninstall AVG, restart computer. download and install MSE or Avast. I suggest also Malwarebytes as an extra tool.

Install problems with any anti-virus program can occur when the previous program hasn't been fully or correctly uninstalled.
