I'm having trouble installing KB2647753 (Update for Win 7 for x64 based systems)

Tried it three times now.

Anyone else had problems?

KB2647753 (Update for Win 7 for x64 based systems( , a "recommended" update, installed OK for me. Funnily enough when the PC was restarted, I had no website appearing. I had to restart twice, as the start up "hung" at first. Seems ok now.

A quick "Google" found many instances of people having problems with this update. It appears to have installed but hasn't.

The answer, for anyone like me who is having trouble, is as follows:

  1. Uninstall KB2647753, reboot.

  2. Download and manually install it.

Problem solved.
