Microsoft Office 2000

I have Windows XP Pro. On the PC I have Microsoft Office primeum and Microsoft Office resource kit. I have a book for Microsoft Office 2000. Should I get rid of the book or do you think it might be helpful? I know if the book tells me the wrong info I might think it is me that does not understand, when it could be that the info no longer works with the Office program that I have installed on my PC.

Which version of Office do you have installed?

If the book is out of date then I would get rid of it. Office 2007/2010 with the ribbon interface are very different from Office 2000.
