When trying to log onto browser Google Chrome, I am unable to log on. I get the message "Pages have become unresponsive" with the choice Kill or wait. I can use Windows Internet Explorer, but have been using Google and have got used to Google. Any suggestions please?

Went to System Restore and restored to a date when Google Chrome worked O.K. On trying Google Chrome again I got message "Memory File - Please Reinstall" Unable to find locate data files. Please Reinstall. Google Chrome un installed and reinstalled. Still unable to log on, with usual message 'pages have become unresponsive' Left message with Google Chrome saying why I have uninstalled their program. Now using Internet Explorer. Thanks guys for your suggestions. May come back again if anything else comes up.
