Apple magic trackpad for windows?

Just had a play with this and it would suit my purposes wonderfully.
I have had a google and it seems it can be used with Windows, some say with limited functions.
Has anyone tried this and what results/comments do you have.
It will not be worth buying unless I can use all the functions.
Also, is there a windows equivalent (don't want a trackball).
Basically I watch a lot of movies/internet surfing and my laptop is not in reach)
Thanks
