laptop dvd drive not recognised

my advent roma laptop dvd drive not working the drive is not shown in my computor it is in device manager with a yellow triangle next to it online help tells me to unplug and reconect put dont know how to access it to do this have tried updating drivers but am told drivers are up to date need some advice please Lindamay

HDD is propably on the under side. switch off, unplug power lead.
turn it over look for a square panel with a small screw probably bottom right hand side. (will be another similar where memory located)
remove screw and cover hard drive should then ease out. Remove and refit and attempt to reboot.

Thanks Fruitbat but the problem is the DVD not the hard drive

Hmm, I must be getting senile in my old age :0)
same thing applies
turn over the laptop - worth looking to see if there is a small catch next to the DVD - it will release the unit approx 1cm then can be pulled from the machine.where the dvd is located there may be a small screw holding it in position also
To refit push back in til clicks in place refit screw
