Data Recovery

Good morning!

During my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit reformat last night, I think I've deleted the partition of my second hard disk which contains my only back-up of my documents.

I can see it but, when trying to access it, Windows tells me I must format it before I can use it.

Comrades, please recommend a safe and hopefully cheap/free program to enable recovery.

Thanks, comrade - I'll give it a lash.

It is not a good idea to keep a back up on the same hard drive. If the hard drive fails then all is lost. Suggest you get an external hard drive for back ups.

I have two internal hard disks: one for the operating system and my documents and one for the back-up of my documents.
