Screensaver not working since restore

Running Vista Home premium SP2

Since restoring to earlier date to get rid of police virus the screensaver no longer works.

Ran MB and Eset and MS virus checker and everything clear.

Any advice would be appreciated.

you may need to reinstall the screensaver, what is it?

Can you be a little more specific about 'timer'?.

This isn't an eye strain saver that you are talking about, is it?.
