Reinstall Window 7?

I'm trying to do a fresh install of windows 7. I'm following the instructions from Windows (Offical Magazine). I don't get very far! Just to the menu 'Where do you want to install windows'. But there are differences on my menu that actually comes up on he screen, to what is in the magazine! Four of the options are missing, Delete, Format, New and Expand. And as I want to format I can't go any further. Any idess what I'm doing wrong? The instuction seem so simple!
