Two Acers laptops - two different charger outputs

I now own two Acer laptops one with a 65watt charger and the newer one with a 90Watt one. Can I use the lower wattage one to charge the new laptop without doing it any damage?

Provided the voltage and polarity are the same I'd suggest, if you only want to use the one charger, you use the 90 Watt one. The Laptops will only draw the current they require.

I appreciate your comments and advice but what is wrong with using the lower of the two wattage chargers? And presumably you mean the output voltage?

If the newer laptop draws a current which requires a 90 Watt charger, it might overload the lower rated charger and ultimately burn it out. If the older laptop only requires 65 Watts, that's all the power it will draw, even with a 90 Watt charger connected.

"And presumably you mean the output voltage?"

Yes, the tip that plugs into the laptop must have the correct voltage and polarity.
