Sony Vaio graphics issue.

For quite some time now there has been a problem concerning the graphics card being used in my sony vaio VGN-SZ5XWN laptop. There is a switch on the laptop that allows you to change from 'speed' (utilising the Nvidia graphics), to 'stamina' (using a considerably worse Intel graphics card). The switch itself does not appear to work as when I use it the 'speed' LED light fails to light up. I'm wondering if this is a problem with the switch or the Nvidia component itself. Strangely, I have looked in the device manager of my laptop and the Nvidia device is not there (leading me to believe this could be a issue with the card). I have downloaded all the required drivers from Nvidia and Sony, but upon installing them, they can not find the appropriate device to work with. Just wondering if anyone has any advice/solutions to this problem. Thanks in advance, Ryan.

According to this your card is an nVidia GeForce Go 7400. You do not state what O.S. you use but select the download tab and update all your drivers, for your O.S., including the chipset drivers. I would not update the bios drivers if offered yet.

Thanks for your response, but when trying to install the drivers it gives me a message saying that it could not find a compatible device.
