start-up programmes

Looked at start-up programme list and found multiple entries for some, ie three entries for google taskbar. Also sevferal for dell support. Can I remove multiple entries, just leaving one, and can I get rid of dell programmes.

You can get rid of all the entries if you want.

You do not mention what Dell programs you mean.

You don't say if XP, Vista or W7

The icons in the Start > All Programs are just shortcuts so shortcuts can be deleted at random. The actual Start up programs in the Start up folder that start up and run in background when you boot up can be stopped from starting up and running. Which are you meaning?
